Hey friends! I'm Lauren Birmingham (just like the city)!
I'm a mom of two girls, photographer, (former art teacher) and obsesser of home decor. Is that a thing? Im also deep into true crime, to the point where I am patiently waiting for new episodes on netflix because I think I have watched every single one humanly possibly. Is that bad? Anyways, when Im not editing and watching true crime, I'm probably taking pictures or spending time with my girlies!!
My natural state of self is when I am helping people - most often my brides or grads. Theres nothing more that I love than making people feel seen, loved, and cared for, especially when it comes to photographing their most cherished moments.

Once Upon A Time
There was an art teacher who was also a new mom yearning for creativity & freedom.
Yep, that was me. Art teacher, mom of two girls, coffee obsessed, and animal lover. A girl who dreamed of having her own business. Years of my love for art & creating, the camera in my hand was the key to my artistic soul unlocking and giving me the creative freedom I had longed for.
My aha moment? When my teacherly demeanor fit perfectly into my business, allowing me to effortlessly direct clients in posing, help people feel amazing, cared for, and confident. I knew it was meant to be.
How this came to be
Fun Facts
Before photography, I was a middle school art teacher for 7+ years and my all time favorite media is painting - probably watercolor, but my emphasis was oil paints.
Yes, My name is Birmingham but I am not from Birmingham, Alabama! I actually used to live in Texas but now live deep in the heart of Tuscaloosa Alabama!!

My all time favorite place to photograph? Pursell Farms. Its just one of those places I love going back to over and over again.
My two girls are just two copies of myself in different fonts. My sweet soft caring emotional book worm & my confident sassy creative showgirl - somehow God split me in two, in the best way!

Secretly I'm an introvert who loves going to bed at 9:00 Pm. Right now, I'm really into paper books, trying to turn off screens when I can But trust that I would never turn down a coffee, even at night.
Although I'm an artsy girl, Im not the hippie art type. I am actually quite the type A and B combined - While I am creative, naturally a born to make something person, Im also very well planned, meticulously, and detailed oriented. Being late makes me physically ill with overwhelming anxiety, so you best believe I'd rather sit in the parking lot 30 minutes early than be late for something!
